Socialist Party Hitachduth, as well as other conferences and meetings in Warsaw and Cracow. He visited Vienna in connection with the Shekel campaign, and also paid visits to Manchester, Leeds and Glasgow, to address meetings. 4. The Palestine Executive. The members of the Executive in Palestine form part of the Executive of the Jewish Agency and have throughout taken an active share in its work as directors of departments, viz..: Mr. Shertok and Mr. Ben-Gurion, Political Department; Mr. Gruenbaum, Immigration and Labour Department; Mr. Kaplan, Finance Department; and Dr. Ruppin, Central Bureau for the Settlement of German Jews in Palestine. The Executive has shown, through the negotiations which it conducted with the individual Zionist parties in the second year of this Report, that whilst maintaining the principles of democracy, it is resolved to do everything it can to bring about a mutual understanding between the parties and also to effect the pacification of the movement in . a manner that would meet the wishes of the II
