INTRODUCTORY NOTE AND ACCOUNTS FOR THE PERIOD 1st OCTOBER, 1928 — 3lst MAY, 1929. INTRODUCTORY NOTE. 1. The following report contains the Income and Expenditure Account of the Palestine Zionist Executive for the period from October 1st, 1928 till May 31st, 1929. A Balance Sheet per the latter date has been added to the accounts. The books for the current year will only be closed on the 30th September when the final Balance Sheet for the year will be drawn up, which will also show the Capital Account which does not appear in the present account. 2. The Palestine budget adopted by the General Council at its meeting in Berlin in August, 1928, amounted to LP. 569,200.—The original budget proposal of the Executive was increased by LP. 42,000—notwithstanding the fact that the Executive stated that the estimate of prospective income did not warrant such increase.
